I LOVE TO MAKE STUFF

ABOUT CHUCKER

I have always wanted to make stuff.

If I read it, saw it or heard it, I wanted to make my own version of it.  My father was also an artist, and I attribute most of my creative passion to watching him for hours in his studio.  The ability to turn endless ideas into something real that evokes emotion and thought was pretty powerful.  I was named after my father, so they called me "Chucker."

My fascination with the guitar came about 1976 when I saw Ace Frehley.  From that moment on I wanted to play, write, record and create with a guitar.

It wasn't until 2000 that I seriously considered building a guitar.  After searching EBay one day for "Van Halen Guitar" & finding a lot of home-painted guitars for sale, I thought, I could do that!  And if I was going to go through the trouble of painting it, why not just design and build my own guitars.  For the next several  years I learned how to refinish and repair old guitars.  In 2007 I started designing & building my own guitars from scratch.  In 2016 I decided to make it official and make my creations available to others... and that is how Chucker Guitars began.
